Good afternoon everyone. I am just getting up from a nap. Woke up to the news that son number 1 had his offer on a unit accepted. So he’s a homeowner now. That’s exciting…. I am off to give plasma this evening

@ENKELI haha I know right, however will I cope!! Well usually the ones around me are pretty decent, but I think it's cos I really want a proper, well fitted suit vest, and like, no one really makes them anymore. They're surprisingly hard to find in op shops...

@rav3n I am exactly the same with makeup! I bought a whole heap of Nude by Nature makeup and I haven't the heart to throw it all out yet but the time is coming.

@PeppyPatti is the one wedding shoe and ring shopping.

Another thing we have in common, I get confused with names too. I even told @Glisten she was a good father when I first chatted with her. Thank goodness she has a sense of humour, I felt so embarrassed!

The look of amazement on their little faces the first time they saw me put air in the car tires 🛞

@Glisten I used to buy mum a Fathers Day present for the same reason. Although I could never imagine her putting air in a tyre. Even when she was younger!

Haematologist appointment this afternoon went well.

Bloods taken for various tests, main ones being Iron and Vitamin B12 levels.  Review in 4 weeks.  

2nd cataract surgery booked in for tomorrow.  Hospital is 45 mins drive away.  I have to be there by 7:15am.  Have to be up prior to 5:30am to take my meds as can’t drink anything after that time.  I’ve got my snacks etc all ready this time …. Choc chip muffins, chocolate bars, energy drinks.  Only cold drinks I could get (not including breakfast) was water plus mini can of coke with meals, afternoon snack plus supper.  I’m not a coke drinker and was bit shocked there was no other cold drinks available to order.
