Re: Best Friends Club

@rav3n it's a sunny 35 here in the valley of the swans. BOM alleges it feels like it's 28 but BOM lies. A lot!

I hope you are having a good Tuesday too and your plans come to fruition.

I've managed to scrub the shower tiles and put up 2 shelves in said shower for shampoo and soap etc. I never realised how much of a girl I was until I saw how much room I take up with hair and body products in the bathroom!

Re: Best Friends Club

@ENKELI BOM tells big fibs with warts on it!

You put up bathroom SHELVES! All by yourself?! Look at you go, you DIYer 💪🏼

Did you get them from Bunnings? 😆

Re: Best Friends Club

@Glisten okay, lets not get too excited. They were wire shelves I bought in Crazy Clarks or Red Dot that affix with plastic tabs so the most difficult thing was getting the plastic tabs straight before sticking them to the tiles.
I did put a shelf up in the kitchen and I build my own book cases and side tables if that counts? 😂

The shelf came from Bunnings, most of the other stuff was either Ikea or the Australian version, KMart!

Re: Best Friends Club

@ENKELI i'm with you, BOM told me last Tuesday it would feel like 30+ degrees... i was shivering because i trusted BOM and i decided to wear short sleeves, it felt like 20 degrees 😪

haha my bathroom is just primary my hair/skincare/body products too! do you tend to keep products you don't even use anymore or is that just me? 😅

Re: Best Friends Club

@rav3n oh thank goodness! I thought only I did that! I still have some Avon products and just found out that Avon ceased operating in Aus back in 2018.

I used to buy a particular brand of shampoo and conditioner and whenever it was on sale I'd buy more. When I came back to my house after being away for 8 years my brother who had been living in my place whilst I was away had not used the products and so there were about 8 bottles each of shampoo and conditioner in the bottom bathroom cupboard. I wonder if they're still all right?!

Re: Best Friends Club

@ENKELI my dearest Retiisi wonderful friend.

Are you saying that you assembled flat pack furniture?

You still get a gold star ️

Building requires measuring and cutting with an element of precision.

I dislike cutting Chipboard. It gives me clothes goblins. They bite.

I wish it would storm. Just to cool things off.

Re: Best Friends Club

@Glisten yes I did assemble flat packed furniture. The only power tool I have is a drill - I agree with you re the clothes goblins. They are way too nasty.

You my darling get platinum stars because you really know how to build things 😍

Re: Best Friends Club

I love it @Glisten it makes me happy when people get to be in their element!

My day so far has been trawling through op shops looking for some shorts and a fancy little vest for a halloween costume. I was sorely disappointed!! Oh nooooo guess I'll have to go op shopping again, oh woe is me 😝

Re: Best Friends Club

@Jynx oh no, you poor thing. Having to go op shopping is the worst!! Lol, I hope you find some good ones in your area, the ones in my area aren't very exciting!

Re: Best Friends Club

@ENKELI hahaha i'm glad i'm not the only one! i do the same with shampoo/conditioner! i bought my mum a bunch of shampoo & conditioner when it was on sale, and then one day she suddenly decided to switch brands... now i'm slowly trying to finish them off 😆

i do the same with makeup too... which i know is really bad & i'm working on throwing them away but seeing so much unused product left... i feel so bad for chucking it in the trash 😅

oh and how's the wedding clothes and ring shopping going?
