Twisted -self care

Every morning I drive east into the sun.
At traffic lights I put sunscreen on the backs of my hands.
This morning I realised that this is self care,
Very rare for me.
I need to do more of this....

Re: Twisted -self care

Out the door and along the path to the school fence,
Sharp left hand turn over grass and steadily up the hill we go,
Across the now empty gravel car park and down the steep hill to another path,
Along a little way we cut across the soccer fields to the footbridge and then weave down to the creek,
Walking along the creek bank , I pick up some rubbish left on the banks by the recent flood,
Further along we leave the creek and climb back up to street level and cross to our home... Bob’s Happy 🐶

Trying to problem solve...
First- how to keep the couch from moving around—solution, lie on it.
Second— how to achieve all in so little time...
Mentally work through the “to do” list and chop unnecessary chores.
Third—prioritise those unable to do for themselves...
Fourth—food and drink essential.
Fifth—self soothing of some sort.
It’s lonely in this corner...

Re: Twisted -self care

How did your day turn out @Catcakes? It sounds like you did some great problem solving there! I'm about to head out of Forum Land for the night, but I will check back in, in the morning. I hope you are having a peaceful evening. Smiley Happy

Re: Twisted -self care

Pretty ordinal thanks
@Phoenix_Rising
Goodnight

Re: Twisted -self care

Hi @Catcakes,

I'm sitting here trying to decide whether you meant to say that your day was ordinal or whether you meant to say it was ordinary and the autocorrect has changed it. It sounded like you had planned an ordinal day (in which case I figure that having an ordinal day would be super), but I know people don't usually describe a day as ordinal so I'm not sure. Smiley Happy

Do you have any plans for today? It is predicted to get to 42 degrees where I live, so I will be bunkering down inside. I was up super early and it was super nice out in the garden then. Are you a morning person or a night person? I super like the early mornings.

I hope today has some good in it for you, Catcakes. Smiley Happy

Re: Twisted -self care

Thanks @Phoenix_Rising
I meant to say ordinary only even that is not the right word.
My mum is in hospital and wants to go home so I have been trying to put more supports in place.
I was awake over night so feel sluggish now.
I’m about to leave for hospital.
Supposed to be hot here today too.
Have a good day yourself.
