Gut health and schizophrenia
https://www.goodtherapy.org/blog/promising-role-of-gut-in-treating-schizophrenia-0331164
I found this article really helpful I thinks there needs to be more research into gut health and schizophrenia. I have had problems with parasites, viruses, bad bacteria, food allergies and intolerance which are all connected to the gut and associated with schizophrenia

Re: Gut health and schizophrenia
@mozart Hi mozart this is an interesting topic that you have brought up. I have a son2 with autism and schizophrenia and assorted other problems. He has always had strange bowel movements and I know from other parents with autistic children they have noticed similar problems. I give him a pro biotic and had him on various diets when he was younger to help with is autistic problems both physical and mental.
My son1 has depression and is currently being looked at for bipolar 2 he has crohns disease .... so to answer your question I believe there is a gut brain connection with all these types of disorders which hasnt been fully looked at.
