Re: Supporting an already Depressed Partner through Cancer diagnosis
Grief does that to you @Former-Member ..... be patient with yourself Hon ..... multivitamins can help too, if you talk to your pharmacist, and maybe get your Cit D levels checked ? It’s important cos it’s linked to your immunity, which also tends to drop when you’re grief affected.
Hugs n hugs special lady ..... 💜💜💜💐💕

Re: Supporting an already Depressed Partner through Cancer diagnosis
Yeah perhaps you're right @Faith-and-Hope . I already take a daily multivitamin. But I do need to see my GP, just another thing I keep putting on the backburner. Need a skin cancer check, meant to have done that 3 months ago. Though he may refer me to a dermatologist, since I already have had some nasty ones cut out last year. Also need a referral to eye specialist. Overdue for annual blood tests too, which he reminded me about last time I saw him. Just .. havent had the time. I will ask for a Vit D test while Im at it.
@outlander Saw your post from earlier. In answer to your question .. I dont know what I need, I really dont. I am used to anxiety, I live with it constantly. Which is pretty normal with ptsd. But when Im hit periodically with a deep depression, I really do struggle.
@outlander Sorry to read about the recent SH which was exposed during todays procedure. No need to feel embarrassed sweetie. These people are not there to judge you.

Re: Supporting an already Depressed Partner through Cancer diagnosis
Dear @Former-Member ,
it is no wonder you are feeling very low, you have just experienced a major loss, on top of everything else in your life. I think the loss of a mother is really shocking for us, our nurturer. Then helping your dad with the clean up and worries about him.
I expect you will feel this for some time. I just hope you can find some moments for yourself, lighter moments. Perhaps some joy in nature, play with holly. Lots of people here wish you well and concerned.
We we have had lovely weather here in Perth sunny and warm, but today it is grey and bleak again and I can’t be bothered doing anything.

Re: Supporting an already Depressed Partner through Cancer diagnosis
It looks perfect ... calm, tranquil, restful. Thank you @outlander 💖 thats very thoughtful of you. In fact I will go and put the kettle on and make a cuppa right now. And will imagine myself in that very place. Even if its only sitting on my back deck overlooking the fish pond. Although thats kinda nice too. 😊
