My house is a shambles at the moment.

@Glisten , guess what? I've fixed 2 taps so far. I've got 4 more:

1) I'm going to check out tomorrow to see if I can find the part I need.

2) I've ordered parts online and am waiting for them to arrive so I can fix another tap.

3) The previous owners have glued part of the tap to the wall, so I can't fix this one in a hurry.

4) I can't get one of the main nuts off. I think it's cemented to the tap with limescale....

Hence, my house is a shambles with tools and tap parts everywhere....

I can't complain though. I have time to do it. Better than paying someone $1k to do it.

Wow you've been busy @tyme . Are you changing the tap washers? Several years ago I had to replace several taps as the plastic handles had cracked. 

I'm working my way through the boxes. I want to get some to the opshop Friday before getting more to work on. I've been able to part with about 2/3 of the books in this batch. Unfortunately that means the rest are piling up in the spare room. 

I've packed away the sewing machine unless/until I can see to use it but have mountains of sewing stuff to put away somewhere... so there's more stuff to sort and cull. 

The race is on.

@tyme the lime scale is on the inside of the tap?

Have you tried boiling water and lightly tapping it with a hammer :hammer:?

Vinegar will dissolve lime scale 👍🏼

I have another 4 boxes ready for the opshop. And I'm trying to clear surfaces in the livingroom.

4 boxes to opshop. Next step is to go through 10 more boxes from offsite.

Dusted and cleaned some of the cobwebs. Filled a box to donate and 2 rubbish bags.

Pressing on.

I have 10 days.
