Re: not feeling good

You have a lot going on @BlueBay  - like everyone else - I am right now but I also have a powerful feeling that I will be okay -

When it comes to your abuse or Huffnpuff or anything else the question you need to ask yourself and do your best to answer is "What can I do about it"

You can't do anything to change the past and from what you are writing Huffnpuff is stuck in his own private whatever and you can't change him either

You can only change yourself - and how you feel about things - and to me it seems that seeing someone about your marriage is your priority but then - I have been through it and it is hard making those choices

One thing I have thought about is that Huffnpuff is of two minds about his mother and that's uncomfortable but perfectly normal - been there too - my mother was so confused I was relieved when all this was over for her - I would imagine your husband and you too - are wondering when the elderly lady will pass - would it help to know that most likely she is totally unaware of how things are - it's much harder for the family when someone with dementia is nearng their end

And perfectly natural to be relieved when it does come - and there is no need to wonder how to act when one's feelings are reeling - it is what it is - for all the trouble I had with my mother I cried my eyes out at her funeral and spent the night in the local ED - not my choice - it happens

I like what @Faith-and-Hope  wrote about being organised and when her Mr has his hissyfits about her pantry etc - she knows its fine - and so do you - if you let it go it will be a battlefield - I know you like to be house-proud - you have your standards

But I really hear how tough it is for you -

Re: not feeling good

Hi @Owlunar @Gazza75 @Shaz51 @Faith-and-Hope @saturnzoon @MDT  @Zoe7

i don’t know what to do. I’ve had stomach pains fir a week or so. About two years I found out that I have a lipoma in my stomach. A fatty lump. Nothing serious so the doctor says.

Ive also got a hernia and oesophagitis.

The last two nights were painful so I rang my gp who suggested I go in.

He examined me and said he can feel the lump. He said don’t worry nothing serious. He also said that the specialist can’t do anymore.  I’m not sure that’s true.  he can’t work out why I’m getting symptoms.

I don’t know what to do. Should I go and see my gastroenterologist? Or tell my dietitian?

any advice pls.

Re: not feeling good

A second opinion could be a good idea if you are concerned @BlueBay

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay , I agree with @Zoe7 and consider another opinion just to be sure. ♥️♥️🌻

Re: not feeling good

ohh my sister @BlueBay

I have a hiatus hernia and GERD  xoxo

Re: not feeling good

Thanks @Gazza75 @Zoe7

@Shaz51  what do you do?

I’m going to let my dietitian know tomorrow.

I just want any to be reassured that it’s nothing serious. I don’t like lumps in my body.

May have to get in touch with my gastroenterologist.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay

The suggestions people have made to have a second opinion are sound - that's what I would do if I was concerned

But apart from surgery to fix your hiatus hernia which might not be necessary there isn't much anyone can do but there is a chance that your hernia is causing the inflamation in your oesosphagus - of course it might be a good idea to control your diet but you already know that

It's scary to have lumps anywhere in our body - a lipoma is harmless though - lots of people have them -

You would have to see a specialist to have an MRI because it costs a lot if you are refered by your GP - being short of money is a curse isn't it - and it is really hard for you to sit with things - this I do understand

I have a lipoma on my shoulder - my GP sees hundreds of these - I could have an ultrasound if I wanted but I don't think that's necessary atm

One thing that concerns me is that back in my life when I was depressed, stressed and anxious I had a hard time convincing some doctors that the physical problems I had were real and eventually I had surgery for these - all necessary - so in one way I think it would be a good idea to have it investigated if you are upset

But your GP seems as caring as mine - a very good asset in anyone's life -

My suggestion would be to let it wait for a couple of weeks - give or take - and see how you feel - if you are still worried ask for a referal - it can't do any harm

And all the best - about the pain though - if it is really disturbing you at night have you tried taking some kind of antacid or tablets for indigestion because I know myself that anything rising into your gullet is painful - I have tablets that do that - I have the medication handy but I also found drinking milk after my tablets helps - or eating my favourite - a vegemite sandwich

All the best with it - uncomfortable - yes it is - I hear that

Re: not feeling good

Hi e Everyone

@Owlunar @Shaz51 @Gazza75 @Zoe7 @Faith-and-Hope @MDT @Former-Member

i think I’ll keep taking the meds my doctor gave me fir two weeks. If psin still there I’ll see what I can do.

Today I’m feeling angry.

Angry at:

not having my house to myself

shit and rubbish and toys everywhere

noise all the time

not feeling well

hubby complaining this morning thst the bench is messy with breakfast stuff

I feel at times I just want to scream my heart out. Scream so much.

Going now fir a very long walk (1hr) to a really nice cafe near the marina. My d is joining me. Now hubby is coming too.

This is why I love my walks during the week - it’s all to myself

I really need this. Housework can wait.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay ... good decision I think re the meds your Dr gave you.  Then if pain persists I would be seeking a second opinion.

Enjoy your walk to the Cafe you like, and have a nice relaxing cuppa there.  Shame you have some tagger-alongs, but its still a nice outing, even with the added company.  You are totally right ... housework can wait!  Unfortunately  😵 its always there.

I hope your walk helps to work off some of that anger.  Sending love and a caring hug.

Sherry
