Re: Life can be a Pain

Thanks @Maggie

Thanks a pretty lively owl - life is something to be taken on with a sense of humour - I like having a sense of humour - mine is taking a break today but it will return I am sure of that.

I do feel betrayed - it's a horrible feeling - I will get past this and deal with it - I tried to trace one pain specialist but that is person doesn't seem to be practising - there is another one I had forgotten about still practising and I think I will get my GP to do a referal - right now I need someone to take that over -

And you are right - chronic pain can only be managed - it doesn't get healed - it must be a hard field to practise -

So I have a bad headache today - after a bad night - I find it hard to share my feelings but it's something that helps. I don't need to be alone with the way I am feeling -

I don't feel well though - I didn't sleep well last night - I hope I can sleep today - and I feel really tired

But thanks for your thoughts

Hi @Owlunar  I’ve been thinking of you today. I’m glad you’re off to cairns soon.

You’ll be able to have a nice break and the weather will be warm. And also good thst you’re changing docs.

Breaking trust is hard to accept ❤️❤️

Hi @Owlunar ,

Hope you feel better soon and can figure out a solution to the pain therapist.  I

I'll try and remind you to pack some shorts for your next adventure 🙂

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar  Warm incoming thoughts.

I hope tonight is a better night for you.

I’m not good at sharing my feelings either, a back kick from childhood I think. 💕💜💕

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Maggie @Gazza75 @BlueBay

I am seeing my GP this afternoon - I meant to get a script on Monday but I forgot it when I got so upset - and I am glad I am seeing him tolday because I am feeling so much stress about the pain clinic atm - and I am going to be looking for a different specialist in the private system and when I find one I will be letting the senior members at the clinic I have been going to about the treatment I have had -

I can cope with stress but it is unpleasant - this I understand - I haven't slept much at all the last couple of nights and I have had a migraine coming and going and I found sitting a writing about it helped - not that I am giving this long list to my doctor - I wrote it to settle my own nerves and it helped

I am so glad I am going north and yes Gazza - I will be taking my shorts this time - I even got a tan on the Sunshine Coast and I am not a sun-bakers - I was just walking around a lot

And yes Maggie - sharing can go back to our childhood stuff - it's better to let it out - walking around holding it all in is not a good thing - I find personal notes to myself a good idea - they might be all over the page - tearing them up can be therapeutic

And you are right BlueBay - when someone betrays us - and breaks our trust - this is destructive - it's very hard - and pretty special if it is gained again

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Maggie @Gazza75 @BlueBay @BlueBay

Thanks for the support I have been given this week - it has been a really hard few days - and I have felt better today

I saw my doctor yesterday and he gave me something strong for the migraine I had and the nausea - and he is going to refer me to another pain specialist after I have been away - it was reassuring to talk to him yesterday - and I have a copy of the strange letter sent my the specialist - it's confusing

So I had a natural sleep when I got home yesterday - over two hours - then slept for a long time at night and woke up knowing the issue is being dealt with - I have made my decisions and have my GPs support - and sleep made so much difference

One of my daughter's closest and lifetime friend passed away at the weekend - my daughter is speaking at the funeral which is on Monday - this is so young for someone to die it is a real shock - I do remember this girl when they were young - my daughter has a wide circle of friends she has had some since primary school - and my son's friends too - I have lost track of many of them as the years have passed - but I do feel this -

And my daughter's cat had to be helped over the Rainbow Bridge today - they got her about the same time as I got Companion Cat - so it hasn't been a brilliant week all round -

But true to form - I have come this far - it's not fun to have stress but it can be managed - this is one good thing I have learned through my life - it didn't just arrive though - it's something years of practice have contributed too

Thanks everyone

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar  Some good and bad news in your post. The good is your dr is hearing you and referring you to hopefully an understanding and helpful pain specialist.

The sudden death of your daughters friend, and losing her cat at the same time, the not good news.

Yes, managing some rest and sleep can make all the difference to a day and longer.

Roll on for your time away in Cairns ( can’t spell it ) 😫😫 some sunshine on your bones, and spring very close.

You have indeed learnt some valuable lessons ( don’t like that word ) throughout your life.

Sending the kindest thoughts @Owlunar  💜💕

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar, so sorry to hear you and your family have had such a rough time of it lately.  I always feel its such a tragedy to lose people that are so young that haven't had the chance to fulfil all the potential they had. I saw this picture and thought you might get a smile from it.  Heart
