Re: A long rave

There is no contact list & no exchange of phone numbers - for anyone who attended my social lunch group.

I already said that several times (previous posts).

Adge

Re: A long rave

Sorry @Adge  I seem to have upset you.  I am doing my best here so please forgive me if I stuff up occasionally.  As you know, I also have major mh challenges to manage at this time, whilst being as supportive as I can be here on the forums.  Everything I've said was with good intentions.

Re: A long rave

I would like a job where I could work from home, not sure what that is tho, I work in mines, doing maintenance, the mine is where it is @Adge

Re: A long rave

Hey @Adge   I'm not sure who you work for (don't tell me) but I know Hireup is introducing an emergency relief fund for casual support workers who lose their income in these times.  I believe other sw providing organisations are doing something similar.   I really hope you can qualify for it.

Good morning all  @CheerBear @Maggie @Sherry @BlueBay @Mazarita @TAB @Angels333 @Zoe7 @Shaz51 @Adge @Exoplanet @Hamsolo01 @greenpea @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope @frog @Teej @outlander @Sans911 @Snowie @Bimby2 @Queenie @saturnzoon @oceangirl @utopia @Eden1919 @Gazza75 @octavia @Scarecrowe @WriterMelb @Silenus @Meowmy @Aeiou @Sophia1 @Sofia @Valentine @musicfanatic_x @Jaz5 @nashy @s-jay @eudemonism @Everan @Ant7 @jamesle2015 @JosRapp @Molliex @BlueBay  @BabyDragon @The-red-centaur  @TheVorticon @Eminabud1 @chibam @Colin @Dizzyizzy @Wolfie74 @Jaye @Pippi29 @JosRapp @Bast @Dani1981 @Millieme @Knick @Anonusername @Scout1 @Avi  @Nutella1 @Mex @MaddieCat @Jacques @Former-Member @cutiepiekitty @mvdi @Define_normal  and anyone else who is new to the forums or who I've missed (sorry if that's happened).  A big welcome to those who are new.

FYI  I have bipolar 1 and complex PTSD so if anyone wants to talk about those just @eth  tag me.  Or if you want to talk about anything else!

My hope for today is that people will have a chance to walk outside in bare feet today  and spend some time sitting in the sun.  Very grounding for us all.

I have my last driving lesson of 10 this morning.  Will be doing it with both the instructor and I wearing gloves and masks.  It will feel surreal I know.  First time I've been out since Wednesday afternoon and probably the last for some time.  Except for getting food or meds, which might be delivered if possible.

Spoke to my psychiatrist, my dr's surgery, and my support worker provider yesterday.  Psych will do a skype with me and bulk bill and fax new scripts direct to my chemist.  Dr will do a phone consult and the same with scripts.  Provider said support workers can do phone support and get paid for it and are also allowed to do errands and claim as usual.  So that's a load off my mind.  I spent quite a bit of time fretting about these things over the weekend.

Sending my warmest wishes to all and the hope that new arrangements fall into place for everyone.

Lots of love xoxo

Re: A long rave

Good morning

@eth@Adge@greenpea@Snowie, @Former-Member, @Shaz51@CheerBear@Maggie@outlander@Sophia1@Exoplanet@MDT@Jacques@Angels333@Zoe7@Teej@Appleblossom@WriterMelb@Valentine, @Molliex@Sans911@Faith-and-Hope, and I've run out of tagging steam, so good morning to all. Hope the new day brings some good moments.

@Adge, the federal government announced yesterday that workers who lose hours or their jobs will be eligible to receive the newstart/jobseeked allowance at double the normal rate. They are also talking about measures for rent relief, which I hope will be introduced very soon.

This upgraded jobseeker/newstart allowance starts on April 27, but if you apply earlier, it's possible it might be backdated. The usual waiting period will not apply, and the requirements of registering are to be simpler and easier.

There were massive queues at Centrelinks all over the country yesterday. Registering is best done online. There may be delays in being able to access the sites due to overload of users at the moment.

Not sure if this helps you at all, but thought I'd mention it in case you or others don't know about this yet.

@eth, great that there is this new development with accessing support workers and other things over the phone. I've had two telehealth consultations this week, one with my psychiatrist (in isolation due to just coming back from overseas), and with gastro specialist. Best way to do things now in many cases. Hoping that my neurology appointment on Thursday will be done that way too. I have to ring the hospital today to find out.

I've been waiting nine months for this appointment, with lots of developments in symptoms since I last saw my specialist. Also need to get head MRI results. So if he won't do the consultation on the phone, I will be in the regrettable situation of having to physically go to the hospital. Not the best places to be right now!

Your talk of bare feet just made me take off my slip ons. Not much aside from tiling in our outside areas. The beach was really too crowded when we went for a walk the other day. I can still feel memory traces of the ocean lapping at my feet.

One thing I'm finding good is going out late at night and looking at the stars. It's a lot quieter in the suburb now. Can often hear the ocean, and it's not hard to tell it from the usual traffic noise. Also a lot less air traffic, which has often been disturbing to me. We are very close to the flight zone as the aircraft come into land.

Enjoy your strange last driving lesson. Cat Happy

Sending special love to @ExoplanetHeart

Re: A long rave

Special love to you from me too @Mazarita   I have to go in about 20 min but maybe we're both here atm.  Looking at the stars sounds lovely.  Can't really see many from here as we're near the centre of town.  But I do watch the moon when I can.

Re: A long rave

Cool, @ethSmiley Happy

Re: A long rave

@Mazarita  would you like to make a time to get together again?  I'll be free from about 1.30 our time (12.30 yours).  I'd love to have a chat if you do. xoxo

Re: A long rave

@eth, finding it hard to predict when I'll be awake or asleep at the moment. I've only had two to three hours sleep overnight, so will be going back to it soon. Previous night was about the same. Hoping we can cross paths in the natural flow of things for now. Thinking of you even when not here at the same time. Heart
